This is me...talking on and on about 360 Lace Frontals! There's a reason why they pay people big bucks to do live TV. I'm learning and I promise I'll make future posts shorter and more brief but if you don't want to watch all 9 minutes of the video I've outlined a few tips and tricks for working with Lace Frontals and Closures with Virgin Hair.
What is it? Essentially a 360 Lace Frontal is a lace headband with hair on it. It recreates the hairline around the entire perimeter of your head so that you can wear ponytails etc with you sew in.
Why do I need it? You want to give your hairline a break from the tension of sew ins or you want to try a radically different color or texture so that it blends better.
How do I blend it so that I don't look like that girl? Yes... we all know that girl. She looks like she robbed a hair store. Don't be that girl. First look for Frontals that have a lower density towards the crown. The ideal density is 90%. Then make sure you pay attention to the lace color. You can deposit color to the lace by doing a coffee rinse. Brew a cup of coffee to the color you believe will match your skin tone and soak the part of the lace frontal to that tone... or use concealer. Try to go a little lighter than your hair color.
How much hair will I need? If you like it full then get the same amount of hair you would have purchased without the frontal. If you like it realistic you can try to do one bag...but who likes to be caught out there with enough hair in the stylist chair? Not me!
