Hair Extensions are amazing. They can transform the volume, texture or length of your hair in an instant. When you hair doesn't blend with hair extensions....that is not amazing. The biggest giveaways for hair extensions is often too much of a difference between
We've touched in the past on how to address and correct the first three but we don't often speak on how to increase your hair health and integrity to blend with your hair extensions. Hair extensions, especially Virgin Indian hair is often very healthy and has a sheen or gloss to it from the alignment of smooth and healthy cuticles. Your hair whether from heat or color damage may not maintain its own natural gloss. The temptation is to weigh it down with oils or products that add sheen on top of your hair but that can lead to heavy weighted hair that looks more greasy than a natural sheen.
The secret weapon: Gloss! We have all tried the John Frieda color gloss here and we love it. It offers a temporary reprieve from dull looking hair by injecting the hair with a weekly boost of glaze. It's meant to be used in between color to maintain color...which is what I do but it can also be used if you don't color your hair to add shine. John Frieda Glaze is available in colors as well as a colorless glaze. While there are plenty of other options in terms of brands I just enjoy the John Frieda brand for its wide availability and great price point of $10-13. It's available at most drug stores and on Amazon.com and does not require professional application.
